Some Digital Concept Art done for Professor Dave Baer in Digital Media Arts College, The assignment was to create a landscape matte using either photos or traditional digital painting or a combination of the two, for my assignment i started some sketches on paper, then transfered them onto photoshop to start getting some basic values down for the concept. I started finishing up the shapes then adding some lighting. The drawing was my first done completely from my head without any photo reference.
The digital painting was completed in about 6 hours. The line drawing took me around 20 minutes, the initail values took an extra 30, a 3 color lighting block out took around an hour, and the finishing details took around 4 hours.
